I booked the Galibier Room, but the view was unwelcome—looking out onto what seemed like a storage area. For nearly $500 for one night, I expected a stunning view. Housekeeping didn’t live up to expectations either. I found a tick in the shower and hair on the floor. The fireplace was a major draw for this room, but it malfunctioned halfway through our attempt to enjoy it, which was disappointing. Breakfast could use improvement, as the options felt limited, and the restaurant closure on a Sunday surprised us. While I appreciated the property’s upscale feel and amenities, there’s a noticeable gap in consistency and follow-through that needs addressing. Despite the excellent staff, some areas felt overlooked.
